Star Trek's 50th Anniversary
No other (pop culture) phenomenon has influenced my life as much as Star Trek has; from interests, to personal life, to work, and personal views.
It is also safe to say that the world wouldn't be the same without it, the progress it has caused in so many ways, and the amount of people of all walks of life it has inspired. Even NASA's space program got a huge boost in the 1960s and onward because of it.
The most important thing to consider, and keep in mind, because it is still as current and important as ever, is that our world, the universe, and existence itself as a whole, truly is an...

Petition: CBS - Support 'Star Trek Axanar'
I usually don't like to advertise, but in this case, it's worth it. I'm not sure how many of you are aware of Star Trek: Axanar, but I'm sure you've seen artworks floating around; created by the very talented people that are actively involved in the project.

Sir Christopher Lee dies aged 93
My journal seems to be about depressing news, but then that's a sign of our times I guess.
Another great actor, who in recent years became known also to the younger generation as Saruman the White in the Lord of the Rings movies, as well as Count Dooku in the latest Star Wars installments. He was truly one of those that paved the way for movies the way they are today, and he was one of those who could really make Count Dracula come to life.
I have to agree with Scott Weinberg of Rottentomatoes.com who stated, "Do you have kids? They know who Christopher Lee is. Are your grandparents still around? So do they. That's amazing. Such a cool guy
