Description
Based on a scene from the 5th season STVOY episode "Dark Frontier".
The Hansen's ship the "U.S.S. Raven" in pursuit of a Borg cube for the purpose of study. Would they have continued their research had they kown what would happen...?

Background: Starfield by me.
Meshes: Raven-class by Nick Bacon. Borg Cube by Magma.
Composition: Setup scene and lighting and rendered Borg Cube with starfield backgrop. Then rendered Raven on top using combined backdrop as background. Seperate lighting setup for Raven. Final composition in PS. All additional effects (glows (except cube) etc. and warp streaks) done in PS. Added additional blendings and light/constrast adaptions as well as a grain effect.

Original size: 1920x1200 reduced to 1920x1000 for wide angle shot.
Total time approx. 4 hours plus about ~1 hour render time (render composed in several stages to allow post processing) with 43 layers in PS.
