Survey by overseer Survey by overseer
In the late 2350s, the U.S.S. Horatio, NCC-10532, under the command of Captain Walker Keel, surveys a planet in the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant. This ship has gotten far too little attention for my taste!

It was destroyed near Dytallix B in Sector 63 around stardate 41776 (2364). Her first officer was suspected to be under the influence of an alien parasite and caused an implosion that destroyed the ship. -- Season 1, TNG ("Conspiracy").

COMPOSITION: Background composition in Photoshop using public domain Satellite data of Earth. Scene setup and render in Lightwave with final composition (including all FX) in Photoshop.

Love this shot. And I have nothing against the canon ambassador, but I'm dying to see your take on Andy Probert's version :D

I salute you. The first thing I ever watched on VHS was Encounter at Farpoint in 1991 (when it first aired on Aussie TV). I was 6.

Ah, I saw it on TV back in 1988. TNG got it all started for me. Never looked back since! ;)

Damn, this looks good! A Star Trek series, set in the big 78 year void between ST and ST:TNG should have this sharp look.

I agree with you. I'd love to see something like that. In fact I hope someone reads this! Somewhere between the 2330s and 2350s would be nice. Just after Picard became Captain and just before the Galaxy-class was being designed and build (around 2345).

ooooooooooooooooo.....but...to find someone to play young(er) Picard with accuracy to character and mannerisms...oof...good luck on that...

Well...maybe it doesn't have to feature Picard...but it will now be playing out in my mind O.o
