Note before you read: I am aware that this is not the final design for the Luna class that is now officially accepted. It was the only model of a Titan design concept available for Lightwave at the time of creating this piece as I am not a modeler and have no interest in that area (and therefore am also not able to convert models myself).

And before the argument ensues; a painter does not have to make their own brushes, colors or canvases, they use them to create what they see. As I do. Digitally.

However, if anyone should have a Lightwave model of Sean P. Tourangeau's design and wishes to share it, I would happily modify this picture accordingly. Credits would, of course, be given. My email address is on the profile page, or note me.

Capt. William T. Riker's ship, the Luna-class U.S.S. Titan in drydock at Utopia Planitia over Mars short before her maiden voyage and first mission following the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.

Riker is returning to the Titan in the type 11 shuttle Armstrong following his visit to the U.S.S. Enterprise-E docked at McKinley station above Earth, to recruit his new XO.

Based on the Star Trek: Titan novel Taking Wing by Michael A. Martin and Andy Mangels.

Detailed, enhanced view of some details:

So you are the creator! ;) Thank you for providing the shuttle. Can't have a drydock without the appropriate equipment floating around!

Wow, neat view. You don't usually see folks casting their camera down INTO a dry dock, like that.

Thank you. It was just an image I got in my mind while reading the first Titan novel where Riker's shuttle approach back to his ship is described. And this is what my mind came up with, so I created it.

Y'know, those are always the most satisfying sources (at least for me) to base an image on it. It's Trek... but it's a more personal vision. Very nice work :)

Yeah, there is just no model available and at the time I didn't know. I'm no modeler, so I just use what's available.

Thanks though.

Good job I do like the sense of motion of the front shuttle and the work being going on on the ship (workpods etc)
