This is based on one of the sadest moments in Star Trek history (right next to Data's de...ath/struction), a scene from "Generations" and the saucer section of the Enterprise-D is about to crash land on Veridian III.
The end of the most graceful, beautiful and elegant starship to ever bear the name..... Enterprise. That's my opinion anyway.
Oh, if you're wondering about the title; these were Data's words at that particular moment!

Background: Starfield created in PS. Planet thanks to NASA, changed blending and largely enhanced atmosphere to match scene from Generations. Added further blending.
Meshes: Enterprise-D by Prologic9.
Composition: Created background picture. Scene, lighting setup and rendering in LW. Composed final piece in PS. All effects, particularly the atmospheric disturbance in PS over the course of 2-3 days.
Original size: 1920x1200
Total time approx. 12 hours of which 2 hours render time. 66 layers in PS.

I doubt it. What is odd is, that they weren't able to simply rotate the shield frequencies. Seemed to work against the Borg.
But hey, such was the script. Plus, as a bonus, if it weren't for the Enterprise crashing I'd have never met my wife. If someone had told me that back in the 90s I'd have ended with a brain tumor...
