And so you can see how much work is going into one of my CGI pieces, below is three view workflow piece. You will see the pre-render wireframes, the straight render and then the final piece with Photoshop postwork:



Update May 5, 2011.

Thank you to *TreeClimber and ~LynxMukka for the valuable suggestions. Based on that (and some of my own misgivings) I have made the following changes:

• Reduced blue-ish tinge on image slightly.
• Amended geometry of Sovereign-class due to inconsistencies in the model. Especially along the starboard nacelle pylon.
• Reduced lighting on the Enterprise slightly, however the "here I am effect" I did not want to lose.
• Reduced Nebula (2x) and Akira class ships in size slightly (using the cubes/sizes portrayed in STVOY as reference).
• Changed shield size/intensity of Akira-class.
• Added battle damage to the Defiant.
