PART I
Destiny Moon (Part I) by overseer

In 2167 the Daedalus-class U.S.S. Essex arrives at an unnamed Minshara-class moon orbitting Mab-Bu VI, a gas giant. Two hundred years later the crew of the Enterprise-D would find her destroyed remnants on the moon's surface. [STNG 5x15, Power Play].

COMPOSITION: Planet textures created by me in Photoshop. Planet meshes created by me, and composed into 3D models in Lightwave. Texture and atmospheric settings also my work, including all background elements. Created lighting rig for Daedalus and shuttle models and combined everything into one Lightwave scene. Rendered in lightwave, with postwork in Photoshop.

REFERENCE: STNG episode sceen cap.

MESHES: Daedalus-class retrofit design by James Trexler, LWO conversion by David Ledwith, lighting rig & texture modifications by me, planets & textures by me.

Very nice - I love your use of flares - subtle but distinct. I have a tendency to over do mine, they can be a tricky thing to get just right.

The planet textures are gorgeous.
