The Runabout Yukon was en route to the Bajoran sun. Soon the changeling posing as Dr. Bashir would complete his mission and detonate the protomatter device the Runabout carried, destroying the entire Bajoran system, Deep Space Nine and the entire Federation, Klingon and Romulan fleets.

He did not anticipate a message from the Gamma Quadrant. From the real Dr. Bashir. Sending a message to the Defiant, Sisko ordered the Yukon destroyed. It was out of reach of the Defiant's tractor beam, however... "Wanna bet? Take us to warp!", Kira said. "Inside a solar system?!" Dax countered in bewilderment. Taking the controls and engaging the warp engines herself Kira retorted, "If we don't, there won't be a solar system left."

Thought I try a little story for a change. Based on the 5th season STDS9 episode of the same title.
